About
Adam Banks is an editor, writer and designer. Formerly with Dennis Publishing Ltd in London, I was Editor in Chief of MacUser and Launch Editor of PC Gear.
I’ve edited and redesigned various other newsstand magazines, created customer and internal magazines for corporate clients, worked on copy and design for websites and other digital media, and contributed tutorials, reviews, features and layouts to hundreds of monthly and one-off publications, as well as co-authoring four books, one of which has been translated into five languages (not by me, you’ve go to stop somewhere) and discussing Apple and technology on radio and TV programmes and at live events.
With my wife and our three kids, I now live in Newcastle upon Tyne, from where I work freelance for clients across the country.
This website was relaunched in May 2009, and contains regular blog entries on computing and related issues, copies of and links to a selection of articles that have appeared in print, and a growing portfolio of previous work. You can read my latest opinion column in MacUser every month.
Please feel free to contact me either by entering a comment below (it’ll come direct to me without appearing online) or by email: the address is my first name @adambanks followed by dot com. You can also find me on Facebook, LinkedIn and Plaxo.
